The valley of the Elsa river is crossed by the Via Francigena, an ancient pilgrimage route documented from 800 BC. Pilgrims from Northern Europe, especially France, traveled along this route to reach the city of Rome. Along the route of this important communication route there are numerous towns and villages that hosted pilgrims such as San Gimignano in Val d'Elsa. We will travel along part of the Via Francigena and visit the city of San Gimignano. Departure at 10.30 Return at 15.00
