The Contrade and the Palio

The Palio is what makes the city of Siena famous all over the world: a horse race which has its roots in which has its roots in Medioevo and which still fascinates and fascinates all those who attend it today. The Palio, however, could not exist without the Contrade, the undisputed protagonists of the race: small city districts, each with its territory, its people, its church and  museum. The tour is aimed at the discovery of tradition and of art, of the sacred and the profane that come together in a unique and inimitable identity, that of Siena and the Palio .
